Entertainment Center

Several years in the making, this maple entertainment system was what started my interest in woodworking. I simply couldn't find a half-height audio cabinet that didn't cost a fortune, and finally decided to try to build one myself. The second cabinet was built about two years later. They were designed to match an inexpensive TV stand I bought, and I ended up making a new TV stand a few years later for a larger set. When our TV grew again, an addition was added. As I said, several years in the making.

All the components, by the way, have hidden wheels underneath, making it easier to add or switch out audio equipment. There is a mess of wires back there that I'd rather not think about. I think they spontaneously tangle themselves up to annoy me.
